The Xperia Z3 (the flagship Xperia) has a 5.2 inch screen and it is water-resistant, but bear in mind that everything is water-resistant to a limited extent.
A Note About The Xperia Z3 And Water Resistant Technology
This doesn’t necessarily mean you can dive with it. However, it can tolerate rainfall or a quick splash in a pool. There are varying degrees of water resistance. So if you want a phone for diving, you may need to shop around a bit more.
This is convenient if you like to talk while showering or soaking in the tub. As someone who washes his watch periodically, it occurred to me that it is also quite convenient if you drop it in the toilet, because you can just wash it off afterwards.
Even more conveniently, you can simply rinse off the Xperia Z3’s sleek aluminium frame whenever it gets dirty! Water proof technology isn’t just for rain and swimming.
The slim, 7.3 mm frame comes in white, black, copper, or silver green, but don’t be fooled by its slender chassis. It contains a powerful 2.5 GHZ quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 25 mm wide-angle Sony G lens technology.
‘Sony says it’s the first to introduce ISO 12800 sensitivity to smartphones, too, allowing users to pick up more detail even in low light.
Video capabilities have improved, too. Sony’s SteadyShot technology (with what it calls intelligent active mode) factors in your movements and predicts your next steps. This aims to make video more steady — it can also be recorded in 4K resolution, or four times full HD.’
Video gamers may appreciate the ability to control Playstation 4 games remotely via Playstation Remote Play 2.
‘While details on the PlayStation compatibility are still slim, the company said users can also connect a DualShock Wireless Controller with the GCM10 Game Control Mount to play games remotely and give it a feel similar to a typical gaming console. ‘
Another nice feature is the ability to turn the Xperia Z3 into a second screen for Playstation gameplay, enabling you to watch your friends play.
