Ford Releases 2020 Mustang Shelby With 760HP

Ford released the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 sports car with a staggering 760HP — that makes it the most powerful street-legal Ford car ever built. The new GT500 is equipped with a dual-clutch transmission and has inherited technology from the Mustang GT4 and Ford GT racing programs. The new design improves on heat dissipation as well as downforce to facilitate greater performance.

Performance

The Shelby Mustang GT500 can achieve quarter-mile times under 11 seconds, and can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in the 3-second range. This is impressive, although this is not unheard of for cars in its class. The 760HP engine behind the GT500’s impressive performance statistics is a supercharged 5.2L V8 with a dual-exhaust, electronic valves, and quad tips.

The car is also equipped with a differential cooler, a TREMEC® 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission, and a 3.73 TORSEN® limited-slip rear axle. The GT500’s hand-built aluminium block is improved by larger connecting rods, improved cooling and lubrication, a structural oil pan, among other things.

Interior And Technology

The 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 is equipped with a 6-way powered drivers’ seat with lumbar control, 6-way powered front passenger seat, and a 50/50 split-bench folding rear seat (the seats are leather-trimmed). As for the infotainment system, it is equipped with a 9-speaker sound system, Sirius XM radio, FordPass Connect, the FordPass app, two USB ports, and SYNC 3.

It has an auto-dimming rear-view mirror (I love this idea, personally), illuminated visor mirrors, a rear view camera, aluminium foot pedals, the headlamps automatically turn on and off, among other (mostly typical) features.
