Phones with unlockable bootloaders aren’t terribly common in modern times. However, there are still some phones that will allow you to directly unlock them (legitimately), as their manufacturers have intentionally enabled that.
Bear in mind that the ability to unlock the following phones is subject to change at any time. Please email me and let me know if any of the following phones are no longer unlockable.
NB: Carriers may lock these phones or have found a way to make them unlockable. Please be careful when shopping around. For example, the Verizon versions of the Google Pixel phones below are not unlockable.
- Google Pixel.
- Google Pixel 2.
- Google Pixel 3.
- Google Pixel, Pixel 2, and 3 XL models.
- Essential Phone PH-1.
- OnePlus 5.
- OnePlus 5T.
- OnePlus 6.
- OnePlus 6T.
- Nokia 6.
