Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors and the founder of SpaceX said that the Hyperloop is coming in 10 years. The Hyperloop is a radical high-speed evacuated-tube transit system similar to the ET3 which is expected to achieve speeds up to 800 mph.
The Hyperloop system is designed to transport people in pods through evacuated tubes. Evacuated-tube transport can theoretically achieve unheard-of efficiencies and speeds due to the fact that air is removed from the tubes, enabling the pods to travel through them with minimal drag.
