Google has announced the launch of Gemini 4: Argon, an AI model. Google says it offers frontier (cutting edge) model performance and is rolling it out to certain ‘trusted’ institutions first via their Fairwind program.
The Fairwind program serves the purpose of providing institutions such as governments, telecommunications providers and healthcare companies with priority access to new models to help them prepare their defenses.
Google says that they have been using Argon internally to dramatically improve efficiency and workflow. They also increased the context length limit from 64,000 tokens to 1 million tokens to provide more headroom for deep thinking. Google touted that Wiz is using Argon to help defend against cybersecurity threats via its ‘Scan For Good‘ initiative.
