Beijing, China — Nubia has announced the Z9 smartphone: A flagship handset with a full HD (1920 x 1080), visually borderless 5.2″ touch screen. There are two versions of the Nubia Z9. They are the Classic, which is equipped with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and the Elite, which is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Even 3GB is a significant amount of RAM for a smartphone, 4GB is extravagant.

The Classic Nubia Z9 costs $564, the Elite version costs $645, and if you’re willing to pay $725: You can get a fingerprint sensor with it. Both of them are equipped with a Snapdragon 810 processor. The camera is 16 MP, which means that it can take high resolution photos, but not necessarily high quality ones.
Previously, I wrote about the virtually borderless Sharp Aquos Crystal smartphone, but the bezel of that model is still visible. To be fair, both the top and sides of the Aquos Crystal are virtually ‘borderless’, while only the sides of the Nubia Z9 are borderless. The Aquos Crystal is also significantly cheaper (and less powerful), at $150 (with a contract).
